The Sandstone Hand Chipped Natural Stone Cladding is quarried and produced from finest Natural Sandstone Reserves in Southern Africa. Due to it’s beautiful natural textures and colours, it is perfectly suited to bringing a natural design element into your home or building project in order to create stunning natural feature walls both internally and externally.

Being a completely Natural, we rely on nature for the different colours that can be found in our sandstone. We suggest that you calculate the full extent of your cladding requirements and purchase this from one specific batch. Batch variation is to be expected with virtually all natural stone over a certain period of time.

Installation Guidelines

Due to the nature of these products, we would highly recommend enlisting the services of an Installer or Contractor who is familiar with the various characteristics of  Natural Stone, as well as the important steps that need to be completed correctly in order to achieve the best possible outcome and appearance for your stone cladding feature wall.

There are specific wall primers and adhesives that would need to be used for different wall surfaces and applications in order achieve the correct installation.

These include the following:

• Pro Grip, 6hr Fast Set Tile Adhesive
• Pro Grip, Key Coat liquid ( surface primer )
• Pro Grip Base Coat powder ( surface primer )

Pro Grip, Key Coat and Pro Grip Base Coat would be used in combination should a wall surface need to be primed in preparation for installation of your sandstone cladding. An example of this would be a painted wall surface. It would be necessary to prime this surface with a cement based primer as outlined above in order to prepare the wall for adhesive.

Product Care and Maintenance

All Natural Stone (including sandstone) is porous to varying degrees and so it is essential that your sandstone cladding is cleaned correctly post installation, as well as sealed with the appropriate sealer that would be suitable to the specific application of your sandstone cladding.

Sealing your sandstone cladding offers the essential benefit of protecting the stone from absorption of water as well as other liquids. Certain sealers may also offer colour enhancement should you wish for this particular finish.
